What We Publish

Barrel Sauna Guide is an independent US buyer's guide to barrel saunas. We don't sell saunas, and we haven't tested any sauna in person. Everything we publish comes from sources you can check yourself: manufacturer spec sheets and manuals, sellers' product pages, published cost guides, and official permit pages. We link those sources on the page. If a claim can't be traced to one of them, it doesn't go on the site.

Where Our Information Comes From

How We Choose Our Picks

We rank saunas on things you can check yourself: heater size and circuit needs, wood species and thickness, included accessories, warranty terms, and price across sellers. We don't use star ratings, because one score can't tell you whether a sauna fits your electrical panel or your budget. Each pick spells out its trade-offs and says which buyer it suits. You can see how that works in our best barrel saunas guide.

Affiliate Links and Commissions

Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the seller may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. When you request installation quotes, local professionals may pay us for the referral. Commission rates never decide what we recommend, a brand can't pay to be included or ranked, and we don't accept free products in exchange for coverage. Read our full affiliate disclosure for the details.

How We Keep Pages Current

Corrections and How to Report an Error

If you find an error, an outdated price, or a broken source link, email hello@barrelsaunaguide.com with the page address and what's wrong. If you have a source that shows the right figure, include the link, since that lets us check it against the original. We aim to review reports within two business days.

When we make a material correction, such as a wrong spec, price, warranty term, or rule, we fix it on the page and change the Updated date. Significant corrections are also noted at the end of the article.

Safety and Professional Advice

Our electrical, foundation and permit guides help you plan and compare quotes. Electrical work should be done by a licensed electrician under a permit, and your local building department has the final word on permits and setbacks.

If you have a question about this policy, send it through our contact page.
